Change Your IP Address

Please consider the player rules and guidelines posted at http://www.endless-online.com/disclaimer.html#disc1.

Need to change your IP address? I'll give you a few of the most effective methods I know of to change your IP address.

Method 1. Proxy / VPN
A proxy is a server that gathers or sends information from one server/pc to another without connecting the two directly. A sort of, middle man if you will. So if you can find a proxy and direct it to "game.endless-online.com" on port "8079" or where ever you're going you're in luck.

A VPN works a bit differently but will garner the same result you're looking for. Getting pass the IP ban. Check out a piece of software I was directed to called HotSpot Shield. It's 100% freeware, easy to install and start using. A free piece of VPN software is a pretty sweet deal, especially if you've ever seen the price ranges for remote VPN services offered across the web.

Method 2. Release, Flush and Renew!
This is a shot in the dark considering most ISP's will prevent this because they've either assigned static IP addresses or their dynamic IP addresses will have rather long leases. You'll have to have some luck on your side for this method to work but under the right circumstances it will.
  1. Open up "Command Prompt". Simply click your start button and search for "Command" and it should appear. If you're on an older version of Windows you'll need to click yout start button and run "command.com".
  2. Type "ipconfig /release" and press enter.
  3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press enter.
  4. Unplug your modem and router(if applicable) and wait a few minutes.
  5. Plug your modem back in first. Once all the indicator lights have lit you may plug back in your router(if applicable). It's important to do them in this order.
  6. If your internet is working at this point check if you've been assigned a new IP address.
  7. If your internet hasn't started working again typing in "ipconfig /renew" at Command Prompt.

Method 3. MAC Address and Cheese?
If Method 2 is prevented by your ISP it is possible to "force" your ISP into giving you a new IP address if you are using a router. This can be accomplished by changing your MAC Address by a single value. Change a 4 to a 5 or a 3 to a 1. It's that simple. Your ISP/Modem will now see your router as an entirely new device and release your current IP address and assign you an entirely new lease/IP address. Once you've applied the change to your router settings you'll need to unplug your modems and routers power supply. Wait a moment before plugging your modems power supply back in. Once all the indicator lights have lit up on your modem plug in your routers power supply and you're done!

Changing your MAC Address isn't a walk in the park if you've never messed with your router beforehand. To be honest there are too many different routers for me to list directions for everyone specifically. You're going to have to Google this for your specific router model.
